Fremont Group, a private investment firm, has appointed Jing Yang as Vice President (VP) of Learning and Development (L&D). Fremont partnered with Frederickson Partners on the executive search.
In her role as VP of L&D, Yang will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing and maintaining talent development initiatives across the company. Yang will report to the company’s Managing Director of Human Resources, Louise Husin.
Yang joins Fremont from Applied Materials, where she served as Head of Learning and Strategy. There, she developed and implemented learning strategies aligned with business goals, provided thought leadership within learning and development communities, and managed a portfolio of 600+ engineering, technology and leadership courses. Prior to Applied Materials, Yang worked at Stanford Graduate School of Business as Director of Learning Design and Technology. In this role, Yang led key initiatives to transform the teaching and learning experience, drove leadership alignment and led the Covid-19 response for teaching and learning.
Yang’s earlier positions include Associate Director, Learning Design and Development, Lead Instructional Designer and Director of Online Course Development. Yang holds a Master of Business Administration from Maryville University and a Master of Science in Educational Technology from University of Central Missouri.
