In a new study, a full 72% of employees who started a new job during the pandemic say they are surprised or unhappy with their move. The study also finds that over 80% of younger workers say it’s okay to leave a job in six months if you don’t like it. Maybe this lack of loyalty is floating upstream. We’ve started getting more calls from prospective clients who’ve let their new HR leaders go after days or weeks on the job—-not even months. We worked with Synaptics to place Lien Nguyen as Senior Director, Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP). In the role, Nguyen will be based in Synaptics' office in San Jose, CA and will report to the Senior VP of Worldwide HR. Overseeing the HRBP function, Nguyen will be responsible for enhancing the company’s performance and talent management framework, while introducing new ways to elevate employee engagement, career development and recognition. Nguyen joins Synaptics from Pentagon Technologies where she served as Vice President of Human Resources. With over 20 years of experience as a strategic HRBP in global high-tech organizations, and complimentary experience in centralized HR, Nguyen held earlier HR leadership positions at Lumentum, JDS Uniphase, Credence Systems, NPTest and Schlumberger ATE. She holds a B.S. in Business Administration - Human Resources from San Jose State University and is a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) with additional certifications by Korn Ferry/Loominger Voices and Choices and the Executive Compensation Immersion Program. We partnered with Mindtickle to place Lynette Fisher as People Success Leader. In this role, Fisher will oversee U.S., Canada and U.K. HR operations, also working closely with the team in India to develop global practices. She will partner with the talent acquisition team to source and attract the highest caliber talent to support Mindtickle’s growth. Fisher will manage performance, employee engagement, compliance and HR policies and work with senior leaders across the workforce to forge a strong, global company culture. Fisher brings with her over 20 years of HR leadership experience, most recently at SaaS communications platform 8x8 as Senior Director, HRBP and earlier as Director of HR. She also served as a Senior HRBP and Diversity & Inclusion Manager at Hortonworks, and at SAP for over six years, with earlier HR positions at Skybox Security and Atrica. She joins the firm from Baptist Health South Florida.
