We partnered with HealthEquity to place Alex Vargas, MBA, CMP as their new Head of Total Rewards. Reporting to the Enterprise VP of People, Vargas will be responsible for developing innovative compensation and benefits programs that support the growth of the business. He will work closely with people operations and finance teams to build world-class total rewards programs to support HealthEquity’s outstanding employee culture.

Vargas joins the company from EventBrite, serving as Head of Total Rewards. His broad total rewards leadership experience includes earlier roles as Senior Vice President of Total Rewards and Shared Services at MoneyGram International for over seven years, Director of Global Compensation at Cardinal Health, Director of Compensation at Nationwide Insurance and Senior Manager, Total Rewards at Bravo Rio Restaurant Group. He earned an M.B.A. in Human Resources and a B.B.A in Business Administration and Management, both from the University of Texas at El Paso,

We worked with Bolt Threads to place Erin Momont as Senior Director of People and Talent. In the role, Momont will develop a comprehensive talent acquisition roadmap and build a variety of people programs to support the employee lifecycle. Reporting to the company’s General Counsel, she will play a key leadership role as Bolt Threads embarks on its next phase of growth.

Momont brings exceptional HR expertise to Bolt Threads, most recently serving as Senior Manager of HR at Eventbrite, with previous roles at the company including HR Business Partner, Interim Head of Talent Acquisition and Senior Talent Manager (North America, EMEA, AU). Momont held earlier positions at Google as a Technical Recruiter, at Epic as University Recruiter and at Make-A-Wish Foundation of Iowa City as Guest Services Director. She holds a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of Iowa, with a concentration in Mandarin and Public Relations.

• Intel Corporation has welcomed Christy Pambianchi as Executive Vice President (EVP) and Chief People Officer (CPO). Most recently Pambianchi was EVP and Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Verizon, having also served in HR leadership roles at Corning Inc. during a 20-year tenure, and as HR Director at PepsiCo. • Netflix has hired Sergio Ezama as the company’s next Chief Talent Officer. Ezama joins Netflix after a 20-year tenure at PepsiCo, most recently as Chief Talent Officer and CHRO Global Groups and Functions. Prior to PepsiCo he held HR roles at Ericsson and Iberia Insurances. (Article)
• TruGreen appointed Rebecca Schoepfer as CHRO. Schoepfer joins from Nationwide, where she served as Senior VP Talent and Organizational Effectiveness. She held HR leadership roles at Marriot International for seven years, and earlier in her career worked at Novo Nordisk and APTMetrics. (Article)
• Pharmapacks announced Leanna Bautista will join the company as CPO. With over 15 years of HR experience, she most recently was Senior Director HR PBNA Commercial and Marketing for PepsiCo, following earlier HR positions at Tory Burch, Pfizer and J&J. (Article)
• Hill+Knowlton Strategies has appointed Laurie Rosenfield as its Global CPO. Rosenfield recently was CPO at leading global media company CBS, with earlier leadership roles at MediaLink, Wolters Kluwer, Connectable, CTPartners, Ray & Berndtson and TiVo. (Announcement)
• CloudBees has named Jinny Jun as CPO. Jun joins from Trellia HR Advisory where she provided strategic CPO advisory services to CEOs, founders and entrepreneurs. • Emerson has announced Elizabeth Adefioye as the company’s first CPO. Adefioye served as CHRO at Ingredion Incorporated, and previously as Vice President of HR for J&J, and for Novartis Consumer Health. • Rocket Pharmaceuticals has appointed Isabel Carmona as CHRO. Carmona has 15 years of experience in HR for life sciences, recently as Head of HR for Ichnos Sciences and earlier as VP of HR for Teva Pharmaceuticals, Global HR Director for Shire Pharmaceuticals, Global Leader HR Policy and Compliance for Ciena, HR Director for Cigna and HR leader at Anthem.
